12 Reasons to Experience a 12 Night British Isles Cruise in 2014 

You guessed it, this will be a series of 12 posts about why you should take advantage of this dream cruise this year or next.

Kris and I have been dreaming of going to Scotland for many years. We've put this off way to long and frankly life is short and we want to experience life to the fullest. So, we've committed this year and beyond to fulfill our travel dreams. We invite you to do the same.

Princess Cruises has one of the most spectacular British Isles cruises we have found among the many cruise lines sailing in that part of the world. For our 25th Wedding Anniversary we chose a 12-Night British Isles cruise on the Ruby Princess because of the ports of call and the ship which will be my 12 Spectacular Reasons why you should plan to see the British Isles in 2014 or 2015.

Reason #1

Guernsey, St. Peter Port, England

This is the very first port of call upon leaving London. Guernsey is just eight miles off the coast of France. This British isle is the second largest of the Channel Islands. It's a popular destination for British and French vacationers because of its mild climate, stunning scenery, and a tranquill ambience. 

St. Peter Port is known to be one of the prettiest harbors in Europe. Castles and forts are all along the Guernsey coastline. You'll even see German fortifications from WWII because the Channel Islands were the only part of the UK to be occupied by the Nazis.
